Jenesis Art Glass - Pearl / Jackson MS 39202 Mississippi

About Me

I am a native Texan. I received my bachelors degree in Art, specializing in painting, from the University of Houston in 2000.

A hobby making stained glass, became my profession after graduating from college. I relocated to Jackson, Mississippi, and have been a full- time stained glass artist for the last 5 years, specializing in color selection and glass cutting.

The more I worked with glass, the more I fell in love with the process of fusing. Seeing the infinite design possibilities, and the option to make things that can be used, ideas started to flow.

My Christian faith is the inspiration for my work.

I am a proud member of the Craftsmen's Guild of Mississippi.

From my bio on the Craftsmens Guild website:

"Jennifer Thomas received her B.A. in Fine Arts and is a paint artist, but learned the basics of stained glass and copper foil methods in Angleton, TX, as an apprentice for Chuck Henderson. Bringing her experience to Jackson, MS, she continued her tutelage with Andy Young at Pearl River Glass Studio, where she served as Glass Manager and Residential Decorator. Teaching students her love of glass, color and design brings her great pleasure and will greatly benefit all participants at the Craft Center."
